Terms and conditions - Internet Banking

The following represents our terms and conditions relating to cancellations/refunds for sales made over the internet.

Training Courses

We understand that occasionally circumstances may change and that you will be unable to attend your chosen course. Notification of cancellation must be made in writing. If you cancel more than 14 days prior to the event, we will refund the course fee less £50 to cover administration costs. If you cancel within 14 days, no refund will be payable, but we will allow you to transfer to another course of your choice.

We will accept a change of delegate at any time without you incurring a penalty. The Institute of Clinical Research reserves the right to cancel any course that is under-subscribed but will give you 7 days notice in writing and will refund your course fees without any liability for any consequential or indirect loss.

At anytime, you may transfer to another course of the same value or another date at no cost.

We may also need to change the venue but will give you 7 days notice in writing of the new location. Programmes as published are correct, however due to circumstances beyond our control, trainers, speakers and/or the programme may need to be altered occasionally.

Please note that when registering for courses we may use your name and organisation details for generating delegates lists.

New Members

Refunds of membership subscription will only be made at the Institute's discretion. On joining the Institute as a member, I undertake to pay £1 to the Institute's assets, if it should be wound up whilst I am a member or within one year after I cease to be a member, for payment of the company's debts and liabilities and of the costs, charges and expenses of winding up.

Publications and Monographs

Unfortunately books cannot be returned as in most cases we have had to print-on-demand to supply. The only exception is if the book has arrived damaged or the wrong publication has been sent.

Booksellers:

We can handle returns from bookshops with a small charge attached to the administration charges, currently set at 20% of the value of the book. If the bookshop/supplier wants to return overstocks they may do so if the following criteria are met:

  • The books are in good condition

  • The books have not been in stock for longer than nine months

  • The original invoice number and date are given on the returns request

  • The request is sent to: publications@icr-global.org and agreed with us in advance

Spring Meeting and Exhibition - Delegates

Cancellations must be received in writing at least 14 days prior to the meeting and refunds will be subject to an administration fee of £50. For cancellations received less than 14 days prior to the meeting, no refunds of fees can be expected. Substitutions can be made at any time. The Institute reserves the right to change the speakers, timings and content of the programme at any time, if necessary.
