Exam Courses and Support Workshops

Exam course

The Institute’s own course Introduction to Clinical Trials and Clinical Trials Practice is ideal for gaining the required knowledge. The course introduces the nature and concepts of Clinical Research, the Clinical Trial process and the regulating framework in which they operate. Practical work demonstrates the principles involved in the accurate reading of data and its presentation and the need to work to a standard set of principles – Standard Operating Procedures or SOPs. Lectures are highly informal and interactive so as to introduce individuals gradually to the industry requirements.

The Certificate examination is based on the syllabus of this three-day course.

Exam support workshops

Exam support workshops include hints and tips when taking examinations with emphasis on how to answer Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
The workshops are interactive and utilise mock questions to get candidates used to the question format and demonstrate common pitfalls in completing MCQ papers. The questions will be based on the syllabus. Analysis of the answers to these mock questions will be used to help candidates to identify areas of strength and weakness. The identification of weak areas can help candidates put a revision plan or strategy in place or if indicated a brief review of a topic may be conducted.
