Headlines of the Clinical Pharmacology Special Interest Group (CPSIG)

The latest CPSIG was held in London on May 15, 2008. Currently the group is working on the following topics:

  • On request and with input from the CPSIG Sophie Neil, a student at Sheffield Hallam University, is writing an article for CRFocus regarding the impact of the Tegenero accident on clinical research in the UK.
  • Possible interactions with the Innovative Medicines SIG.
  • Certificates in Clinical Pharmacology: create awareness in the academic field that the CPSIG has designed a two day advanced Clinical Pharmacology course.
  • Planning and organizing of the basic and advanced Clinical Pharmacology course.
  • Collaborations with other professional industry organizations: AHPPI, ABPI, etc.
  • Raising the profile of Phase I Research for the general public.
  • Raising the profile of ICR in Europe: is it possible for ICR at large, and the CPSIG, to forge professional links with other organizations in Europe.
