Get Involved - Get Active

Trainers forum August 2009, pic 1
This is the area of the website where you can find out how to get involved in ICR activities, meet other members and expand your network.

Participate or contribute: It's up to you

You can get involved by simply coming along to the events and meeting other members over coffee or lunch (refreshments are free at forums and seminars) or you can help shape the agenda by joining one of the groups. Belonging to a committee is a sociable way to increase your experience and boost your CPD points tally. It's an excellent way to keep up to date, and make a real contribution to an area you care about.

Forthcoming events

You can keep track of all our forthcoming events, and search for topics that interest you, on our calendar. You will find details of different types of activity such as:

Annual Conference

The ICR Annual Conference, held for the 31st time earlier this year, is a leading event in the clinical research calendar, with expert speakers, excellent networking opportunities and a great exhibition to help you find the suppliers you need.

Joint Conferences

ICR also arranges conferences in association with sister organisations such as:

ICR members are able to attend conferences at discounted rates.

Special Interest Groups

These groups are based around common areas of interest and can be functional, such as the CRA group, or topical like the Medical Devices SIG. They organise events where like-minded members can meet and discuss hot topics. They also write publications and articles, assist with ICR training courses and present at external conferences, to name a few of their activities.

Steering Groups

The main focus of Steering Groups is to organise forums, so may cover geographical areas or a topical area such as GCP. Subject matter can be of general interest or specific to a region.

Specialist Seminars

These events are organised through ICR and hosted by companies involved in clinical research.
