As a Senior Project Manager you will provide exceptional project management input across a portfolio of large multicentre cancer clinical trials. You will be working closely with the Clinical Trial Co-ordinators to ensure that projects are set up and delivered on time, are within budget and in accordance with the protocol and relevant regulations; as well as working with the trial teams to identify problems and help formulate and implement strategies to resolve them.
You will also be required to develop and implement systems for effective trial management; review staff resources for your portfolio of trials to make sure resources are being used in the most efficient way; support the development of new trials and research applications and contribute to the publication and presentation of the research.
You will have a good honours degree (2:1 or above) or equivalent and will have extensive experience in setting up and managing large scale clinical trials (preferably cancer trials) to ICH-GCP standards. Excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills (both oral and written), experience of supervising and mentoring staff, strong team working skills and an innovative approach to challenges are essential to this role.
You will be based at the Warwick Medical School, Clinical Trials Unit Building which is funded by The Wolfson Foundation and Advantage West Midlands through Birmingham Science City Translational Medicine, Clinical Research and Infrastructure Trials Platform.
